In the space of two days Manchester City have completed one signing and agreed two more, while saying goodbye to three players. It is the loudest squad rebuild of the final week of the window — and one that genuinely shifts the picture in Fantasy.
Coming in
Ayyoub Bouaddi — done. The 18-year-old has completed his medical and both clubs have signed all the paperwork. The fee: €95m plus €5m in add-ons, on a contract to 2031 with an option to extend. It is the most expensive teenage transfer in Premier League history.
Allan Elias — a 22-year-old winger from Palmeiras, verbal agreement in place, documents being exchanged. The fee: €37.5m plus €2.5m in add-ons. He comes from the same academy that produced Estêvão (Chelsea) and Endrick (Real Madrid), and is set to replace Savinho.
Earlier this month the club also added Gerónimo Rulli as deputy to Donnarumma.
Going out
| Player | Destination | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Rodri | Barcelona | completed |
| Tijjani Reijnders | Al-Qadsiah | completed |
| Savinho | Tottenham | in progress |
| Nico González | Newcastle | verbal agreement |
The first two are already visible inside the game’s own database — both players carry a note confirming their departure. Nico González joins Newcastle for £47m plus £3m in add-ons; the player has given the green light and the club sees him as a future cornerstone. It is worth remembering the state of that midfield: Newcastle lost Bruno Guimarães to Arsenal and Sandro Tonali this summer, and in our squad-strength analysis they were the only club without a single player rated 85 or above.
What it means for your squad
This is the part you will not find on transfer sites. We set these moves against who actually played in the opening gameweek.
| Player | Price | Ownership | GW1 minutes | Our rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Semenyo | £8.5 | 25.4% | 90 | 90 |
| Foden | £7.0 | 4.3% | 81 | — |
| Anderson | £6.5 | 7.0% | 62 | 89 |
| Cherki | £7.5 | 9.4% | 27 | — |
Semenyo comes out of this rebuild strongest. He played the full 90, we rate him 90 with a Strong Buy verdict, and City’s wide areas have just thinned out: Savinho is leaving, Doku has a calf injury and is not expected back until around 5 September, and Grealish got eight minutes. Allan is a new competitor, but one who has never played in this league.
Anderson is in the hardest position. The club’s record summer signing came off on 62 minutes, has carried a knock with a 75% chance of playing since the weekend, and now a €100m midfielder joins the squad. If you own him, his minutes are the thing to check on Friday — not the Bouaddi transfer itself.
Cherki is one to watch. Eight points in 27 minutes at 9.4% ownership — if the departures open up a starting place, that £7.5m price tag starts to look very different.
Two technical notes. Neither Bouaddi nor Allan is in the game’s database yet, so you cannot buy them — they will enter once registered, at a price set by the game. And second: Savinho and Nico González are still listed as City players with no warning flag at all. At 0.3% and 0.1% ownership that is marginal, but the principle is the one we wrote about with Konsa: the game does not warn you about a transfer until it is completed.
The calendar
The second gameweek deadline is Friday 28 August at 18:30 UK time, and the transfer window shuts on 1 September at 23:00. Plenty can still happen at City before then — the club is managed by Enzo Maresca, who has been rebuilding the squad in his own image since day one.
