Two of world football’s most storied clubs meet in Poland this weekend. Manchester United face AC Milan at the Tarczyński Arena in Wrocław on Saturday 15 August, kick-off 16:45 Polish time (15:45 UK), in a pre-season friendly the organisers are billing as the “Super Mecz”.
It is the final match of United’s Tour 2026 and the last major test for both sides before the new season. For United it comes just six days before their Premier League opener, away at Hull City on the GW1 weekend, so expect Michael Carrick to use it to settle on his strongest XI and sharpen the team’s fitness.
There is plenty to watch. United’s summer business — most notably the arrival of Youri Tielemans in midfield — gets one more run-out, and the club’s academy talents have been earning minutes across the tour, so the young players could feature again. Milan, likewise, arrive looking for their final tune-up before their own campaign begins.
For Polish fans it is a rare chance to see a giant of the English game live, and the fixture is a sell-out. We flagged this one back when the pre-season calendar was set — see our pre-season round-up for the wider schedule.
For FPL managers it is a useful last look at United’s shape, minutes and pecking order before the GW1 deadline on Friday 21 August. If you are locking in your squad, our AI Player Rankings have the full picture on every player’s value.
We will be back with the result and the talking points straight after the final whistle.
