This is where the whole series comes together. Across the last few guides we ranked every position by our AI Rating — goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, forwards — and now the engine turns all of it into one team. Here is the £100m squad our model builds for Gameweek 1 of 2026/27, taken live from our Recommended Squad tool as of the GW1 deadline.
The shape is a 3-4-3, it spends the full £100.0m with nothing left over, and the armband goes to Erling Haaland, with Harry Wilson as vice.

What the squad tells you
The build follows the exact logic the positional guides pointed to. It spends big through the middle and up top — four midfielders rated 88–89 and a front three led by Haaland — and it does not overpay in goal, taking Kelleher at £5.0, the best value keeper in the game. The three defenders are strong £6.0–£6.5 options rather than rock-bottom picks, because a 3-4-3 with Haaland leaves the room for them, while the bench is pure £4.0–£4.5 enablers to make the budget balance.
On the armband, the model lands on Haaland — although, as our captain guide explains, Bruno Fernandes actually carries the best risk/upside profile in the game if you want to differentiate. Harry Wilson as the £6.5 vice is a reminder of how much value the engine sees outside the obvious names.
How to use it
Treat this as a blueprint, not gospel. It is the highest-rated £100m team the model can assemble right now — a strong starting point you can bend around your own captain call, your differentials and the players you simply trust. The squad refreshes every gameweek on our Recommended Squad page, so it will move as prices, form and fixtures do.
