- Kai Havertz opened the scoring inside fifteen minutes. Martin Ødegaard won the ball back and Riccardo Calafiori supplied the pass.
- Bukayo Saka doubled the lead midway through the first half, after an Ødegaard cross that Coventry keeper Carl Rushworth diverted into his path.
- Martin Ødegaard added the third four minutes after the interval.

Tzolis: the player we wrote about this morning
This thread needs stating plainly, because it concerns our own model.
Christos Tzolis carries a rating of 19 in our rankings with a “sell” verdict — the lowest mark among players with meaningful ownership. Tonight he played and recorded an assist in the opening match of the season.
Hours before the deadline we published a correction explaining where that rating comes from: our model counts proven Premier League minutes, and Tzolis had none. What it cannot see is pre-season — where the Greek recorded six assists, more than any other player in the league.
Tonight reality sided with pre-season rather than with the model. A useful lesson for the rest of the season: a rating of 19 on a new signing means “we have no data”, not “he is poor”. From tomorrow the model starts gathering this season’s numbers and such gaps will narrow.
The same applies to Calafiori, whom we flagged as popularity running ahead of quality — 39% ownership at a rating of 75. He picked up the assist for the opening goal. One match settles nothing over a season, but we record it honestly.
