Deal(s) of the week: Tottenham’s £237m rebuild
Roberto De Zerbi is reshaping Spurs at speed. The headline arrivals: Sandro Tonali from Newcastle for a club-record £100m, Mateus Fernandes from West Ham (£85m) and Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton (£52m) — reunited with his former Brighton boss. Add three shrewd free transfers — Andrew Robertson (Liverpool), Marcos Senesi (Bournemouth) and Martin Dubravka (Burnley) — and the total outlay stands at £237m (per Sports Mole and TeamTalk).
United’s midfield double swoop
Manchester United agreed deals for two midfielders in one week: Atalanta’s Éderson (~£38.5m, medical resuming after Brazil’s World Cup exit) and Chelsea’s Andrey Santos (£50m). Full story here.

Saga to watch: Guimarães and Arsenal
Bruno Guimarães has verbally agreed personal terms with Arsenal on a five-year deal, according to both Fabrizio Romano and Ben Jacobs. The clubs are still apart on the fee: a £55m opening offer was rejected, Newcastle value their captain at up to £90m, and reports suggest around £75m could settle it. With Newcastle already lining up midfield replacements, the direction of travel looks clear — but this one is not done yet.
